Volunteer to Support the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont

We are looking for volunteers to support...

ALUMNI OUTREACH: We are looking for a few volunteers who can research online those alumni that we have lost touch with over the years. Someone who is a savvy Googler and enjoys going down a rabbit hole or two. This project can be done remotely and requires a minimum time commitment of 2 to 4 hours a week. Volunteers will need a personal computer and access to the Internet.
DATABASE SUPPORT: We are looking for someone to take all of the alumni research that our volunteers have found and update our database. Our database is Little Green Light, and it is very user-friendly. You will remove duplicates from the database and clean up and organize existing data in our database and/or various Google Sheets. This project can be done remotely and requires a minimum time commitment of 2 to 4 hours a week. Volunteers will need a personal computer and access to the Internet. We will provide training and support in how to access and navigate our database.
PROSPECT RESEARCH: Did you know that GIV is a non-profit and that only 15% of our annual budget is provided by state government? More than half comes from community donations from generous individuals, organizations, and businesses throughout Vermont. We are looking for a volunteer or two to help research prospective businesses and organizations that may be interested in partnering with GIV. This project can be done remotely and requires a minimum time commitment of 2 to 3 hours a week. Volunteers will need a personal computer and access to the Internet. We will provide training in how to best go about researching prospects.
