GIV Presents the New “Weather & Climate Science” Institute!

GIV is proud to announce that this summer we will be adding a new Institute called “Weather & Climate Science” to expand our offerings into the world of science and technology! Offered in partnership with the famed one-of-a-kind Atmospheric Sciences program at the Vermont State University Lyndon campus, this program will offer an adventure into meteorology and climate research.

Designed as a week-long immersion, this Institute will help students understand the wonders of our world.

Led by VTSU professors and professional meteorologists, this Institute will explore the foundational elements of weatherenvironment, and climate change. Students will use advanced technologies like weather balloons and generative software models to collect and interpret data, learning firsthand how the weather is understood and predicted. With connections and field trips planned to WCAX studios, the Fairbanks museum, the National Weather Service, and storm-chasing teams from all over Vermont, the sky’s the limit at Weather & Climate Science!
