Donations keep GIV’s transformational academic and artistic opportunities accessible to all of Vermont’s deserving young people, regardless of their ability to pay tuition. When you give to GIV, you open doors for students disadvantaged by income, location or other barriers to receive world-class enrichment that changes lives.
Donations at every level give young people inspiration, confidence, life skills and a hands-on look of what a career in a particular field would be like. It only happens thanks to the support of donors like you!

Passionate about a particular Institute? You can choose to donate to that Institute specifically and know that your donations go to what you care about most. Or, you can request that your gift support students from a particular region or school.
Honor a GIV Alum or someone special in your life by giving a gift in their name. If you provide their mailing address, we’ll let them know that someone is thinking of them and that a gift in their honor is making a difference for young Vermonters.
You can donate online or call 802-865-4448 to pay with a credit card over the phone. You can also set up recurring gifts which are a great way to spread your generosity throughout the year. Your gift helps GIV provide financial assistance for the more than 80% of students who need it each year.

Major gifts and foundation support for GIV can make a significant impact on hundreds of young Vermonter’s education and lives each year. Gifts may be designated to support specific Institutes or initiatives, or may support all aspects of the organization. Such gifts can either be made on an annual basis or for donors who wish to assure the future of a program or initiative, by creating an endowment.

Some areas you may attend to support include:
Donors may want to provide leadership support for specific Institutes which can enhance faculty expertise, curricular opportunities, and programmatic support within a particular Institute or subject area. Donors wishing to align themselves with a specific Institute may also be interested in sponsorship.
Donors interested in broad-spectrum access may wish to support GIV’s Tuition Reduction and Scholarship Programs, which provide means for all qualified students to benefit from GIV’s world-class programs regardless of family financial resources or special needs.
Specific Schools or Communities - If you would like to encourage students from specific schools or communities to attend, earmark a scholarship for that place and we can use it to stir up more interest in that area!
Those interested in the broader educational landscape may want to fund conference presentations and research projects related to transformational education.
Created in honor of GIV’s Executive Director from 1993-2010, Jean Olson, this fund provides resources to enhance program quality by investing in equipment or new curriculum development or funding special expert presentations.
